Can't burn a cd (pictures)

All of a sudden when I plug in a cdr, the windows automated thing pops up and there is an option to burn audio, but not video/pic. I open up my computer and try to drag and drop pics in the E drive and the burn option is no longer there. If I right click and send to the E drive, it will not copy. What the hell did I delete to screw this up? I know I deleted adobe program, but not sure when this took place. Help please.

Don't you have regular software like Nero to burn CD's? I never liked the default Windows stuff to copy files to CD/DVD.

Does it need to be formated, is it a re-recordable CD?

have you tried any of these steps?

Also, check the speed of the CD's, maybe they are too high of a speed fro your drive?

My neighbor did that, bought 48X cd's and had like a 24X drive.
