Angry stupid Itunes question

I'm trying to organize my shit. I went into itunes and changed all the songs so they were under the right artists and stuff like that. but on my ipod I still have 2 or more of the same artists spelled the same. what gives? I can't figure it out. Thanks

make sure there are no spaces before the artists name. Sometimes its hard to catch those, also check the capitalization of that name too.

Select all the songs by that artist (ctrl+click individually) right click, then go to get info, or something like that, then type in the artist name the correct way so they'll all be changed to the correct name.

Do you have just a shit-ton of music by this one artist? I know on my Ipod, when I had a lot of music from one particular artist it, it would give me 2 of the same name. Maybe you need to go in and re-allocate your memory, if you can. I think you can go in and allow more memory per name. You can setup playlists based on memory so maybe you can do the same for names? I dunno, just a thought.

In addition to selecting all the songs from that artist and changing to the correct Artist field, also correct or clear the Album Artist field. Sometimes that will sort things kinda funky.
