How to delete addresses??

A few months ago I clicked a link for a car dyno video. It linked me to a site that was NOT a car dyno video. I have delete "temp internet files". I have deleted cookies. I have deleted history. Yet it clears everything but that one web address. So is there anyway to delete it??

In IE go to Tools then internet options click on clear history. That will clear everything in the address bar.

Under history if I do a search, it is listing the site as / and it shows "Internet Shortcut. ??

Tried that and it did not delete the address. It deleted everything but that one.

Might try this...

In Internet explorer, click on Tools->Internet options.
Then click on Content Tab-> Auto Complete.
Uncheck the option 'Web Addresses'.
Also Uncheck Forms.
Then Click on 'Clear forms'.
Then Click on Apply->Ok.

You might also try this:

Close IE, go to Control Panel / Internet Options and 'Clear History'.
Go to the 'Content' tab, press 'Autocomplete' and 'Clear Forms'.
You can remove autocomplete while you are there, if you wish.

That cleared it from the address bar. However if I search under history. The address shows with properties of "Internet Shortcut" still??? How do I find and delete that shortcut??

THANKS

They are probably in the index.dat file. You can use CCleaner to delete this file. It will only be deleted when you reboot. In CCleaner, click the Cleaner icon on the left and select Internet Explorer and place a check beside typed url's and index.dat files. Click clean button and when you reboot, it will be deleted.
