Quick Internet Help

Just got internet at the new house... during my move I found my old laptop...has win98 on it...I have a HUB wanted to get the net on it but not working...my other laptop is working fine on the net...I know the cat5 is good tested it ..and this use to be my main laptop so I know the net use to work on it...any clue what I might need to do?

To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

Do you have a router (in addition to your cable or dsl modem) that is also serving DHCP?

Buying dogs kills.

If you only have a residential class service you can only get 1 DHCP address. You will need a router after the dsl or cable modem so it can pull 1 address and then hand out NAT IP's to the PC's. Also when you 1st put in a router unplug the power to the modem for atleast 2 mins so before plugging it into your router then plug the modem in and wait for to sync then power your router up.
