What ftp program are you using?

If it's IEX, I would suggest switching to a real client.

Have you tried the copy+paste method? instead of drag-n-drop

he means use a program list ws_ftp or cuteftp, where the sole purpose of the program is for ftp. i never liked to use the ftp crap in IE or firefox.

Go the the network security in Vista and make sure that it isn't locking out FTP....you know FTP isn't a secure protocol to transfer files so Vista is porbably blocking it.
