i have a Dell Inspiron 1gb processor, 250gb HD, Nvidia FX5200 128mb video card, and 394 mb ram. i think i have a pretty good little set up right now. i know i need to upgrade my RAM, though, the system maxes out at 512mb. i do play very few games on it, c.d. based and online. should i look at upgrading the video card in it? i can play high action movies and games now with virtualy no problem, as long as i have all programs closed. if anyone has a stick of 256 PC133 they want to part with REALLY cheap (maybe free ) that would be great. also, what about a wireless card for wireless internet?
well, i have had other PCs not do good on action packed movies, but do good on slower movies. this one runs great, for me, i just want it to run smoother. plus, i don't have the cash to drop on a new PC
It depends on what you want to do..What do you use your PC for? IMO trying to upgrade that is a waste of time and money.. i would start from scratch.
well, like i said, i play a few online games and some c.d. games. i also watch movies on it every now and then. i do plan on upgrading to a new system, but i will have to wait till prolly tax time next year
