wireless internet

What does it take to get the wireless going on a new laptop? Does someone need to be called from my srvc provider? Or is it something i can buy at fry's and do myself?

You already have an internet connection and you want to connect your laptop wirelessly to it? Or are you wanting to go strictly wireless and need a provider?

Your modem may have a wireless router built in, if thats the case then all you'd need is a wifi card for your laptop if it doesn't already have one integrated.

I'm shocked nobody said this, but what's the make and model # of your laptop? Newer laptops already have wi-fi cards built in to them.

Yeah, that lappy has wireless as is to be expected. Check to make sure that TWC did not provide you with something that has built in wireless - otherwise just go a buy one of a million wireless routers out there.

Take care,

My '03 Sold.
