how do I reset my laptop?

just sold my dell laptop. id like to reset it back to factory settings like when it came from teh factory, any idea how do to it? (Dell Inspiron E1505)

Also, whats the best way to transfer all my files on this laptop to something like a disc or something?

Wrong forum.
Use the restore disk to restore the computer back to factory specs after you format it.
Before you format it, back up the files you want to a large thumb drive, a cd-rw, or using a network.

I wouldn't recommend doing that until you get everything you want off the hard drive first.

if anyone in the Frisco/North Dallas area wants to make some extra $ tomorrow, ill be in that area and will need either a new harddriver put in it, or have the info backed up onto something, and need it restored. email me if interested. [email protected]
