Just Say NO to Wikipedia

I'm so sick of Wikipedia and how it is involved in all my Google searches. Does anyone have a way to omit Wikipedia from all searches? I don't want anything to do with that site...I wish I could erase it from existence

As a matter of fact, I'm not. Instead I'm going to erase it from my Google search bar for good by editing the XML file to always omitting anything Wiki, including Media, Bios, ect. I might also offer this tool as a plug in to other anti-Wikipedia members.

i hear people (mostly teachers) bitch about how it's not an academic resource, but never once have I run into a problem with it.

I make it a point to use wikipedia as sources, and when my teachers question it, I find an "academic" resource and back up what is found. yeah, it seems like a waste of time, but it means I'm right and that my teacher was wrong.

I don't care about your opinion on Wikipedia...I just don't like it, and I don't have to tell you why. But I bet if I did you couldn't argue against it.

As for my sig...it was a joke found at linuxforums.org. Can you name one linux only virus w/o Google????

So you support linux but you do not support wiki? You're a moron, and your signature proves it. Ubuntu is for fags, gtfo.

Windows free since 01/01/1999.

What do you dilike about Ubuntu? I had considered trying it.

Listen to my buddy, Jeff Bolton, from 6-9 AM Mon-Fri.

Think you need to format/reinstall your OS(XP), read this first.

Probably its ease of use, my great great grandmother could probably figure out how to install it, and she was blind, mach1marauder can verify this as he used to date her ( she dumped him because he was to old ).

It isn't an academic source. It's a second hand source with a little bit of peer review. So, they are still right.

Your proof that "backs it up" is simply you providing them with the real academic source.

Sorry I don't have time to sit and be a HARDCORE Linux guru and hand install all my shit. Sorry that I enjoy the ease of an OS that doesn't eat memory or CPU. Sorry that I use the community of Ubuntu users that make a great idea like open source easy to use and understand. But most importantly, sorry for using an OS better than Windows that I didn't have to pay one cent for.

So are you another one of those fag gamers that dis Ubuntu because they are too busy sucking Gate's dick to see how great Ubuntu is or are you one of those nerds that are just too hardcore to admit Ubuntu has your ass kicked?

Ubuntu has it's problems, like all OS's, but it definitely has PLENTY of pluses, too! Consider that you get a full OS, office suite, and photo shop on ONE CD and in ONE install. Plus any other software that you may need can be searched for and installed with just a few clicks of a mouse. It brings something complicated like Linux to people who arn't "geek" so to say. I would recommend checking out the Ubuntu wiki for more info: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ or you can PM me any questions you may have.

Ubuntu has my ass kicked? Right... You want to talk about an OS abusing resources please please please coware in fear as my linux based laptop is probably the most efficient computer browsing this website. Let us not forget my abecx.net site uptime for god what is it? 900 days? I dont know, lets just check now.

[11:57][Overcast 49]:[[email protected]:scripts]$ uptime
11:57:25 up 933 days, 2:23, 22 users, load average: 0.10, 0.12, 0.11

What's even more amazing is the kernels 873kb foot print, running on 1GB of physical memory hosting 12 sites ( 4 high traffic ) and only a 1.3GHz cpu with no customer complaints ever regarding sluggish performance or downtime. 100% uptime for the last what, going on 4 years now?

But you're right, Ubuntu has my ass, especially because I can setup and run a Linux box in about the time it takes you to spew complete gibberish about installing an OS on a computer your mommy got you for xmas.

/me points to the door.

GTFO of my subforum.

First let me say That's impressive on the uptime.

Second, I am only saying that Ubuntu is great for MOST HOME end users, and I only acerted you as one because your smart ass remark.

I understand that you are not the typical home user, and for that Ubuntu probably isn't the OS for you...as I have already stated, I have only been a FULL PLEDGED Linux user since 11/05 (on and off for years though) and I am still learning something new EVERYDAY.

10gs a day = Haxor!

To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

Wrong. I have customer that do not want anyone to know how much traffic they get, those were not being included in the total numbers above. I've played this game before, old man!
