IE question

Work takes over IE for our data input. We log into the explorer, attach pics, type data, etc. They put out an update the other day and now it's fubared. Call IT and the dipshit says it's a provider issue. I ask him why it's giving me an 'can't read memory' error then and after that popup it will not work anymore and he then tells me to uninstall 7. So I go to add/remove and remove IE. Only it's still there. Yet when I download 6sp1 to reinstall it, it tells me that there is still a newer version on the machine. 6 because they don't like 7.

How can I uninstall IE? Or just forcibly reinstall it?

This posted via firefox as IE is now shit, and I need it for work.

IE7 is an IT hassle, since it does not work with numerous things. Don't ask me why, because I don't know. I just know it does not work with a few Cisco things and you used to not be able to use a lot of Cisco's web management stuff with it. Now that works though.

What *I* would try to do first is reinstall IE7 since it says it is already there. Once it is reinstalled, I'd see if x task works. If not, then try to run the uninstall again and try to reinstall IE6.

After that, depending on who is supposed to do what in your company you need to start looking at other options...reimagining...or whatever.

Take care
