are you getting any packet loss?

Do some network test and post them here

traceroute to your router

traceroute to any domain.

You're not giving any helpful information. You basically just said, "My car isn't running right", and then told us your work car is working fine. What has made you determine that it is not running right, sites not loading, unable to check email, all pages loading but a certain site. Have you tried contacting your cable provider.

Have you tried resetting the cable modem, router (if you have one), and rebooting your computer? Also check the cat5 connections as well as the coax connections. It could also be a bad splitter trying to take a dump. Check all those, and if all else fails, pick up the phone and call your cable company...

i tried rebooting everything, didn't help, i was hoping i woudn't have to call them cause they will just say they are sending someone out to check it and then i will have to set up a time, miss work, they will show up 4 hours late and tell me some kind of BS that doesn'[t have anything to do with them and to call them back once i have it fixed

Follow the cable that comes off the pole to the house. Then figure out how many splitters there are before it hits your cable modem. Check the frequencies on them, then buy 1 or 2, and start swapping. I've had splitters go dead before and experienced the same problems as you.

The spitter you need goes up to 1000mhz and and the modem drop should be dedicated back to the ground block, if is not and it split remove the splitter and see if oyu lose block sync. if you do then check to make sure that all fittngs are tight 1/4 turn past finger tight with a 7/16 wrench. If you still have issues contact your provider and have them send a tech out to check it. Also who is your providor?

kind of weird thread?

if you are having problems then you pick up the phone and call your ISP and let them troubleshoot the issue.

it's a free phone call.
