problems with JavaScript

when i go to youtube or myspace videos sometimes i get a msg saying...

"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Click here to get the latest flash player."

i go and download it and it says that it has been downloaded succesfully(sp?) but when i go to whatever site i was at it says the same msg.

sometimes i can 'fix' the problem by opening up Adobe Reader 7.0 and turning off JavaScript for about a minute, turn it back on and then everything is back to normal.

why does it sometimes detect JavaScript, and other times doesn't

thanks for any help

use a different web browser... Most of these sites used to use windows media player as the default player to play the videos. THe problem there was certain browsers would not take the settings. Some people say it works fine in Firefox, some say the oppiset. Here at work, Firefox will play any video (though many sites have converted to flash player because POS microsoft refuses to fix their POS software to be compliant with multiple browsers) but at home some play in explorer and some in Firefox.

now quit fuckin bitching
