background question

is it possible to use a .avi file as my desktop background and have it set to loop?

not with windows. you may be able to find some shareware or something that will do it.

Vista supports it.

Wanted to qualify that - it's an Ultimate Extra, so it will support it if you have Vista Ultimate. It will be released when the mainstream Vista release hits in a bit over a week... so it's not available to Vista users yet.

there are numerous 3rd party programs out there for stuff like that.

do some searching on tucows.

found one. Its called dream render, but it wont do .avi's It will do .mov and others though

well i don't know how much time you want to spend on this, but you can convert .avi to .mov

i believe you can even find freeware programs that will do it.

hmm yeah I would have to get the program because I wouldnt even know where to start haha. Thanks again I dont have anything to do tomorrow so I may play around with it and see what I can come up with
