Delete Cookies and Lookup History

Hey guys I need some help. My sister wants me to lookup history of websites, downloaded videos and such because she thinks my little nieces and nephews have been up to wierd things on the comp. She also wants me to clear up temp files ,cookies and defrag the comp because it's running slow, I know I need to run a scan to make sure there is no virus in there but just want to get some advice on how to go about deleting cookies, looking up history and best way to clear up the comp.......Thanks for your help......Oh, and her computer is a compaq........thanks again

Think you need to format/reinstall your OS(XP), read this first.

You can get rid of cookies and temp files in IE's properties menu.

However, History is stored TWO places. It is in your profile folders and in the Index.dat file which is kept in the Temporary Internet Files. You need to delete manually.

You really can't make it any simpler for the guy. If he can't figure it out from this, leave 'em alone.
