NTLDR missing????

OK I had windows XP on an old drive (5400rpm) that was full, so I installed another version of XP on my D drive. I made sure everything work before I tried to remove my original version of windows. I could not uninstall windows for some reason. I went into safe mode (like Microsoft says) and did not find "Uninstall Windows XP" in the add/remove programs. So I uninstalled every program I could, and when I took all the files I might want out of the C drive I removed it from the computer. I installed my 3rd drive in the same spot (made sure the jumper settings were the same), and when I booted the comp up I got this.

What the hell should I do?

What if I made new changes that I want to keep?
Adding a new hard drive or a new drive array often causes your computer to miss the NTLDR, to fix it you'll want to specify in the BIOS which device to boot from first, and you'll want it on your IDE0 channel and as the master (first on the chain) with jumpers set to Master, and then use fdisk to make sure that the first partition is a primary partition (and set as active), and that none of the other drives or partitions are set to active. Try setting the BIOS to it's defaults or clearing the CMOS memory. If you made changes as drastic as a new motherboard you may want to run a repair install as described here:

http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic8356.html

Come back if you still get the error after that. Go back
I think I found the answer to my own problem. Originally the HD that had the OS was the Master on the IDE0 channel. Now the HD with the OS is the slave. I will try that, and if it doesn't work.... well I will tell yall tomorrow since I wont have a computer.

You have the wrong drive booting. Set the new drive as primary and boot

Well I tried to do most of that, but I had no clue I had to type fixmbr. So now I just reinstalled windows again, and I am downloading all the BS updates I have to download. My new problem is that Windows says my 3rd sdrive (storage) drive is not formated. I don't want to format that disk. It is in the NTFS files system, and I have too much data to lose there. What can I do?

Did you press F6 to install the Raid driver's before formatting it and installing windows?

Boot Knoppix, and do a mount /dev/hdc and see if there is any thing on it.

Thanks a mill for this post. Saved my ass last night. Had the same issue and got pissed about...wanted to blame it on hardware (making excuses to spend money). However, this fixed everything up nicely.
