I'm trying to block a website on my laptop. Where do i go to do that on my computer?

Our government needs our help, they have an addiction. Our government is addicted to our money. Since they always have our best interest at heart it's time we return the favor. We need to have an intervention, for the governments own good of course. It's just irresponsible for us to let people with a known money addiction continue to handle our money. Lets have an intervention now so we can help these sick individuals.

Have you tried content advisor? I think that Microsoft offers free help over the phone with that feature (maybe because it sucks, I don't know).

C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc

Put a line at the bottom of the hosts file (open in notepad):

www.site.com 127.0.0.1

Replace www.site.com with the URL you want to block (worth doing both www.site.com and just site.com, just in case), save and close, that site will not work now.

pretty simple.

most software firewalls will allow you to block a particular url or ip address.

and if you are behind a router then you can easily block the site using the router interface to enable web site blocking or parental controls.

you can also try just blocking all cookies for myspace and it probably won't work to well or even at all?
