Got a new computer, need help with fonts

I got a dell laptop with a flat panel monitor. Everything is on 8 font. Which is really hard on my eyes at the end of the day. (this is a work computer) How per say do you get the text like on dfwstangs to appear larger? (or anyother website)

View | Text Size in either IE or Firefox.

Tried that. Doesn't seem to change a thing. I have it on the largest now. This site shows up about 8 font. ( no matter what size I set the font for) I don't remember it being this small on the old monitor.

I use Firefox, only use IE for a few IE-specific sites (not this one). You're right. Test size changes in FF, doesn't in IE. ????

My bad for not opening drwstangs in IE; I tried it on IE's home page (set to yahoo mail on this pc for my gf). Resize works there....

what's your resolution set at? if its really high, type will always looks small. make sure that your flat panel is set at its native resolution. the only setting in IE is the view > text size.

View, Text Size, Medium.... or large or whatever... in your IE window.

EDIT: You already said this didn't work... I'm an idiot. Ignore me.
