Where to take old PC's

We have a bunch of old computers here at work I need to get rid of. They won't have hard drives in them though. Anyone know were to donate them and they will come and pick them up?

Take 'em out to a field and shoot a few dozen rounds in to them. Or you could pull an Office Space. Other than that, I don't know.

Haha, that would be fun, the boss wants to see if he can get some kind of a write off.

Could've sworn there was just a thread about this with some good suggestions.

Plano has a place you can drop them, it is on their web site. They either reuse them for school/other purposes or properly dispose of them.

4. How should I dispose of electronics, old computers and TVs?
Electronics, computers and small TVs may be brought to the City of Plano Parkway Service Center on the 3rd Saturday of the month, 9-11 am. The Service Center is located at 4120 W. Plano Parkway (Plano Pkwy and Commerce St.) behind the city warehouse. They may also be taken to Dallas Computer Parts, 1135 E. Plano Pkwy, Ste #2, Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm. For a list of acceptable items, please visit our Web site at http://www.planoenvironmentalwaste.com
From plano.gov

You can call and they will arrange pickup or fill out the on-line form. And they give you a receipt for the write-off. It would be pretty shitty to donate computers without drives, though. That's just MO, but it seems like you would just wipe them and leave them there, but that would only be if you were actually trying to help someone and not just get the money off your taxes
