Messenger Service / Net Sender ??

Does anyone have an app that will call a messenger service pop-up based on USERNAME?

I had a developer that wrote one a few years ago, I've lost the file, it would be handy to have that instead of relying on net sender to locate a person by IP or workstation name.

The one I'm looking for will allow you to enter userIDs on a domain, and type a message...

TIA

Messenger service is enabled, but NetBIOS is not, so it appears nothing is resolving.

As I asked, does anyone have something that will pick up on the Windows userID.. and not machine identity?
