The most annoying pop up in the world

OK, Firefox has a pop up blocker, correct? Then why does it never stop that one?!?!

You don't even realize a pop up has opened, but then you hear that gayass voice: Congratulations! You are a winner!

How can I stop that shit and other pop ups that somehow get by?

Really, no way. Perhaps you misinterpreted. I was stating I use Mozilla Firefox as well and I don't get pop ups. Not as in "I don't know what this Firefox you speak of is, but I use Mozilla with no problems." Your attempt to point out someone's ignorance was cute though, Chief.

I thought the same thing Hollywood did. Perhaps if you included some thing like "I use Mozilla AS WELL and I don't have any problems", it wouldn't have been misinterpreted. Not that improper sentence structure makes a person ignorant or anything...I'm just saying.

Ya know what they say, "bringin' unty to the comunty"

Grammar Nazi central, that's what DFWstangs is.

BTW, I got the "mozilla != firefox" vibe from that post also.

At one time there was Mozilla Browser suite and then they released a seperate version called Firefox. So, saying you had Mozilla back in the day, would have meant something different as there was more than one version. Today however, they only have the one suite-firefox. So I pointed it out in case you assumed they were still seperate. Thanks for the attitude, it was cute.

Well I appreciate your concern for keeping me straight on the up to date version of the browser suite, however I felt the "Chief" proceeding your statement was slight smartassery on your part so I thought I would give some back. You misread me, I misread you. No harm, no foul.

Well I thought all these replies would answer my question. I was pretty wrong.

One site I always notice gives me popups (and the "Congratulations" one in particular) is www.entensity.net. Don't go there if you're at work though. It's got porn ads and shit all over.

Pop-up blocker only blocks pop-ups that are code driven from the current website. If it's localy induced outside of the browser window, i.e.: From a spyware program, then pop-ups blockers won't get it.

I know that it is not from spyware, and I know that it occurs on a certain website everytime I visit it.

Everything that maybe they have a bot on your system? It's a new trick that they're using these days. They usually store a 1px*1px gif image in your TIFs, and when you access the site it opens that image remotely in an outside window and then META Refreshes the window and loads the page. But I bet it's spyware, whether you think so or not, it's internally driven one way or another. But good luck with it. Just trying to help, but apparently you know everything, I guess that's why you asked for help in the first place right?
