Thumbs down WiReLeSs MoUsEs SUCK!

I failed to have the knowledge that they eat the shit out of batteries, maybe it's cause I bought a cheap one. The whole purpose was to keep my kitten from chewing cord ones in two, what a waste of 20 bucks. I guess i should get some rechargable batteries, it's still retarded since there is still a cord that plugs in the same as a cord one.
my point, wireless mouses are gay.

Damn! I guess it's just a cheap piece, the batteries (not cheap ones) go dead in like three days more or less.

Now one thing about my MS Mouse. It uses a USB RF plug for the mouse to connect to the computer. So you have to plug that in for the mouse to be sensed. Works fine and the only downside is it sticks out of the side of my laptop a little. The mouse has a little cubby hole that the USB plug slides into when not in use at the bottom of the mouse. This also turns off the mouse so it's not using the battery unless the USB plug is removed. I bought the mouse at Best Buy on sale for like $25.

Does your mouse have an on and off switch? Maybe your not turning yours off and that's why it's going through batteries

No it just turns off automatically after a couple seconds of non-use.
I don't know it sucks, I have the sensor thing too and sometimes shortly after the newness ofthe batteries go dead I have to have it close to the mouse to work, so there's really no point (for this one I have) to be wireless. the sensor is as long as a regular mouse. I bought it at walmart it's called micro innovations for 20 bucks, I couldn't see spending 50 bucks or more on a stupid mouse, but hell the batteries are adding up. I think I'm just gonna switch back to cord and whip batoon's ass if he comes anywhere near it.
I do remember seeing some mouses that have a stand that they charge on, do those use batteries? They are prolly over 50 bucks anyways.

or the real simple thing to do is to teach the cat not to chew on shit. Go to wal-mart get a 99 cent water pistol when the cat is doing something you dont want him todo scold him with the word no and shoot him with the water pistol. I bet in a week he wont be chewing a cord again. I love my cats but they know the meaning of the word No and cower and run if they see me comming and saying it. dont use your hands you scold the cat this will make them fearfull of your hands even when going for pets. They might jerk back a little same thing goes for playing. Now if your cat is a bengal like mine and it likes water your kinda screwed and have to i hate to say it woop its but a little.

What you might call solitude is something i look forward to.

That doesn't work when I'm at work all day. I swat him when he pisses me off, like dumping glasses of tea off my night stand at least once a week or less (he's obsessed with chewing straws), he gets in big trouble if he gets anywhere near there when I'm around. He's a spoiled baby, Kaw did it too but i guess she's grown out of it ever since we got him, she chewed my phone chargers. batoon will swat me back when i pop him for chewing wires, it doesn't stop him he's a spoiled lil titty rider, hopefully he grows out of it soon. I'm just gonna have to put everything out of reach I guess. if I got a water gun he would have a blast lol, he sits in the shower with us.

I apologize if this has all been covered...I just did not want to read the whole thing. I've avoided wireless keyboards and only used wireless mooses that came with a charger. However, my mo-in-law and wife have both obtained wireless keyboard/mice combos. The wife's is pretty new but is going on 2 weeks no problem. It is a decent Logitech combo. My mo-in-law goes 6-9 months at a clip and it is a Microsoft combo. Both use theirs on a fairly heavy basis. My mo-in-law plays a lot of card games until 2 in the morning and my wife plays WoW with me.

I have had a Logitech keyboard/mouse combo for around 3 yrs; I only remember changing the batteries in the mouse a couple of times and I havent in the keyboard yet.

I had one for my laptop that did not have any cords, only a thumb-drive size usb deal.

And LMFAO at your cats eating the mouse!

My HP mouse goes through batteries every couple of months but the keyboard still has the originals.

My cat must have got a good jolt since he quit chewing on wires. I plan on using tabasco sauce on the wires if it happens again.

I've got that mx1000 as well. I can't stand the corded mice I have to use at work... I've thought about bringing it up to work with me.

I also bought a Logitech DiNovo wireless keyboard/mouse combo last July. I went with that, because the little USB wireless dongle that comes with it, also works with my mx1000, so I don't have to tote the cradle with me everywhere I go. I've had to change the batteries in the keyboard once, sometime in January I think.

I wish I had waited a month before getting the DiNovo, because Logitech released a $20 wireless mouse that had the same USB dongle that would've worked with my mx1000 ... instead of paying $150 for the DiNovo set Such is life I guess... and the DiNovo is certainly not worth the $150, it's about as cheaply put together as a keyboard can get.

I have the logitech too. Keyboard has never seen new batteries since I bought it, and the rechargable mouse is the tits.
