Modded Xbox 360

Has anyone else modded their 360? I just got done making a "backup" of Dead Rising and it played perfectly fine.

Basicly, you take part the 360, (PIA btw) then you hook up the SATA DVDROM to your computer, boot up into linux, force the drive in "mode b" then reboot into windows so windows can find it, then "flash" the firmwire, but when you do that, it makes a backup of the original, so you can flash back and forth, without xbox live knowing. After thats done, you can put in your game disc and "rip" the disc to make a backup or download a game off the inet (7+ gig isos). Once thats done, you can burn the disc on to DVD+R DL but each dvdrom drive has a success rate with certain burners (pioneer 111d so far the best, newegg 30$ shipped) I have a document at home that tells you the different and how it, I will post up once I get home.

That sounds like a shitload of stuff to do and I don't know shit about Linux. So you can still play Xbox Live as long as you flash it back over to the old firmware?

You only need to put the drive in mode b in linux, you boot wait like 30 secs then reboot into windows.


ya, you can reflash back tot the old firmware
