Why are my attachments not opening?!

WHY am I all of the sudden getting the following errors when I try to open files? If I save the document and then open it by picking the appropriate application from a list, it works. But, I can't just open them directly from an email, etc.

HELP! I am getting tired of having to save this crap on my desktop first!

You can thank Bell Atlantic for that! GTE used Outlook, but we changed a LOT of things when they merged to form Verizon.

How do I set up an application to view PPT? It worked up until a few days ago, but quit working just yesterday.

If she has powerpoint, the problem is she doesn't have it associated.

Save one to your desktop, then right click, "open with", choose Powerpoint, and make sure you choose the option to always use this program.

I guess Bell Atlantic was much larger than GTE footprint wise, or maybe they had more say in the merger, because I swear they took a lot of bad qualities from Bell Atlantic and attempted to intergrate them down here. I have such a bad taste in my mouth from that place, it felt like they tried to bring the east coast persona of "Employees are stupid and need hand holding or they will strike or sue us" and push that preception down here. Anyway, glad you got it working!
