not gonna happen.

websense owns you.

If the rest of the network is properly configured there is nothing to do.

This is coming from someone who works in the IT security profession

Use a proxy service, lots of free ones out there. Just google free web proxy and find one you can access.

and before long it will be picked up and blocked and depending on your company you will then be obviously violating computer acceptable use policy and possibly terminated.

be careful. I've seen people loose their job over internet surfing.

My prefered method is to forward RDP through my firewall back to my computer. Anything that may seem to be non-work related I do on my home pc. That includes the occassional trip to dfwstangs. Work connection gets news and google, etc. Home gets via RDP gets the more casual stuff.

Any corp environment up to the task of properly utilizing any sort of enterprise content filtering (be it websense, surfcontrol, etc) probably has port 8080 on lock down.

Seriously, if it's deemed "not appropriate" by your employer, would you want to risk your job? As mentioned, I use my home connection... but it's sites that still work from the office. Just my preference.

Yep, a proxy is your only way around it. The college I went to used it and it was very frustrating when you were doing actual, honest research and couldn't get to the site you needed to get info. from.

I used the one you gave, and it didn't load any websites (not even yahoo.com). I did a search and the websites that have the list of proxies is block by websense Can someone do a search and post the list of proxies?
