GC info

I recently tried upgrading my Slot A 1.8 Ghz 8x AGP system from a GeForce Ti 4800SE
to a GeForce 6200 card.

The new card lost about 25% of the frame rate.

No gain for upgrading a 4 series to a 6 series

Maybe the Ti 4800SE is the best card available for Slot A.

Are you talking about Socket A? I dont think that a better graphics card would cause a drop in framerate. How is your PSU? If the card is getting insufficent power often I have seen them turn their settings down to prevent from being damaged. 6200 needs a 300 or 350w PSU so check it out. Also, update the drivers to make sure youre working with the newest stuff.
