get a keyboard that connects in the PS2 port. Or boot into normal mode, go to your msconfig and set it to boot into safemode.

ok maybe some can help, i have spybot search & destroy, and ad-aware. neither of them are getting this thing, and this other program i downloaded cant get it either, it takes me to sysnetsecurity.com when ever i open a new web browers, but my home page is still set to yahoo.com. when ever i restart it installs other spyware that ad-aware gets rid of, but i cant get ride of the main one i guess. any clues would be appriciated.

Try pressing on F8 slowly as soon as the computer boots up and see if that gives you the menu to choose Safe Mode.

Sorry, been out of it all day and didn't notice it. Your running WinXP right? Do you know how to configure MSCONFIG to boot into Safe Mode?

No I do not, that's just a command from the DOS prompt to format a hard drive, but it's to format a drive in FAT32. Windows XP and other newer OS use NTFS file systems.

craizie, it sounds like you have a pretty serious virus that's running through your computer and making dozens of copies of itself every time you boot. Honestly, if you want to save yourself the trouble, just format your computer.
Since you're lucky enough to even have the ability to log INTO your computer, hop in, copy what you can to CD or another HDD (though I wouldn't recommend this, as you might spread the virus to that HDD), and start over from scratch. It sounds like you've already tried everything else.

Best of luck to you, and keep to the safe sites!
