Linksys makes good stuff, but IMO if youre going to be getting a "G" router, get the Linksys SRX200 or SRX400. I had the WRT54G at work and didnt like it too much. Its pretty user friendly, but the SRX is so nice and fast. But between the G and the GL, you wont notice a huge difference, especially if youre not doing so much wireless, or if your house isnt larget than 3000 or so sq.ft

some people are like slinkies; they're completely useless, but still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

thank you guys i was looking at that Linksys SRX200 and all i need is wireless for my dad's computer and my laptop so he can stop bugging me about playing his damn party poker and he can just sit in the living room with my laptop or my parents room with his comp. My house is around 2400sq. ft. so just from reading alot of reviews on it and hearing a couple of yall say its good with the new firmware helps.

Stay away from the newest version of the WRK54G and WRK54GL. If you are doing any filesharing it will lock up constantly if you attempt more than 16 simultaneous connections. They are crap. Here is a link of a review. I had one for a few days and had nothing but problems. Went back to my older version and all is fine now.
