Word Experts?

Here's my situation.

I have two numbered lists, both with over 5000 items contained within.

I want to narrow this down to just 1 file instead of 2.

How can I merge the information between the two files, without having duplicate entries in one file.

In other words, I want 1 file with the information of both files, but do not want any duplicate entries.

excel seems like a better tool to do that. do a vlookup in excel and get the ones in one list that are not in the other

The simplest way is to first convert the data into a data entry format ( copy and paste to freaking excel ). Then copy the second file to the excel spreadsheet. Now run the duplicate checker with excel and organize the data how you see fit.

If you're deleting duplicates, this shit should've been in some sort of database format to begin with.

edit: dang you beat me to it Tiny Tim.
