Trying to copy a movie I have downloaded onto a DVD disk?

I have downloaded a movie onto my computer. How can I burn it onto a DVD disk? My computer has a DVD writer. I have to write it onto a DVD because the movie is about 710MB and a CD only holds 700MB.

Thanks!

I think I am onto something here...
I put the blank DVD in and some options came up...what do you want to do? One of them was use Sonic Recording to put data on DVD...I am doing that now.
I'll let you know how it goes...

But if anyone has any other tips on how to do what I am asking, please please help!

Thanks!

I'm guessing thats an AVI which won't play in a home dvd player, you will need to convert it to a dvd format. Lots of programs can be used, i use winavi, it does ok and pretty quick.

winavi, I'll check into that.

Yep, I was able to burn onto a DVD...I have not tired to play it on a home DVD player, but it would not play on Window's Media Player, but I was able to get it to play on VLC Media Player.

Yea well your playing in on a computer which will play avi's, home players won't. I'm just guessing its an avi b/c of the size (710mb). Most converted to dvd format is gonna be 3-4 gigs or more depending on quality.

Shrink will rip and compress DVDs, not convert [blank] format to DVD.

If you want to convert it to a DVD readable format and write to a DVD disk. You need Nero 7. You can get it for a free 15day trial and get it done that way.
