Remote Support Software...

Does anyone know of any good remote support software? Something I can get like 1 central license, and then unlimited client license or something? I've looked at WebEx and it seems ok, but i'd rather have a one time software charge instead of a monthly charge. Anyone have any ideas?

its all windows based, most of them are XP, some of 2000. Basically, something like the Remote Assistance in XP, but... a little more intuitive i guess you would say. Something VERY simple the client can get to me through.

I'd think you should make some sort of secure vpn connection to their network and remotely access via the secure tunnel. You could use any of those options or even remote desktop built into XP.

We use the SMS client to remote control our workstations

I personally dont see why VPN and RDC wouldn't work. Company asked me to research it... so i'm getting ya'll's opinions and looking stuff up at the same time.

Are they wanting you to be able to see what they are doing or do you just need remote access to get in and fix stuff when needed?

I used vnc back in NT4 times. Just tell them you are going to install BO2k on their machines for remote access

I'm not sure about licensing(sp) but we use Dameware at my work. It is a great application....check out their trial version

Has WOL, AD functions, Remote support

It's got it all

And as long as you are an admin and can hit the workstation you can connect to it
and manage it
