What is....

The best all-around I-POD for the money to get right now.

I know NOTHING about them and I heard a friend mention something about a 2 gig and a 4 gig, but the only thing I can think of is the 4 hold more songs??

Any help/advice would be GREAT!

thanks.

If you plan on doing any physical activity with it then I'd go with a nano, probably a 4 gig. They are nearly indestructible, whereas the photo and video models tend to shut off or skip if you do some heavy running.

I have both a 4 nano and a 30 gig photo. All I use the photo for now is in the car/truck, xbox360 or when I go out of town to store photos on. You can plug it into an adapter and a digital camera to pull the files off just like a PC would.

They also offer the shuffle models. They are CHEAP and nearly bullet proof. However they are limited to a 1 gig hard drive and don't have a display.

Apple should be coming out with a new model ipod very soon. I'm guessing it's going to be a full screen video player with bluetooth built in as well as wireless headphones. If you can hold out the newest one is always better than the old model.
