Help?

Ok, so I set up a connection to the internet on this new PC i built in January, ever since then, I'm unable to stream videos. I have to download all videos, and videos that are embedded within webpages will not play at all.

Can anybody point me in the right direction to go about fixing this?

Thanks,
Geof

Update your version of Windows Media and try again?

Check to see if you have Real Player or Quicktime, update them to the latest versions.

I have Media Player 10, it's the newest version there is. I'm thinking that there has to be some setting in media player that I'm overlooking, but everything appears to be fine.

It's not a problem that a codec will correct - it's not trying to find a codec but unable to locate it.

Let's say I click on http://www.mowmyyard.com/mow.mpg

WMP will launch and come up and say something along the lines that a connection needs to be present in order to view the video.

I have you reinstalled it, even if you have the latest version maybe something is corrupt?

What happens if you open up Windows Media Player and click File... Open URL... and pasting the location of the video? Does it play?
