Transfer files?

What's the easiest way to transfer a lot of files between two laptops with no router or network?
Both have wireless and regular nic cards and USB in common.

you can get a crossover cable (or make one if you know how) and connect it between each nic card.

you set the same workgroup name on each computer and they should pop up in the network neighborhood. double click to open, drag and drop. files will transfer at about 100 mb/sec

I thought they made those, but wasn't for sure. Thanks!

Ad-hock wireless connection between the two computers would work too. Depending on what the files are zipping them together might help make the job go much quicker.
