Question High Speed Internet Help

I'm upgrading to AT&T Yahoo high speed and I'm having problems finishing the set up. I get stuck on step four where it checks for a connection but then it says that its not connected to the computer. I've checked all the wires and everything seems to be right. The only thing I'm not sure about is if I have a ethernet card, how can I find this out? I have an ethernet port so I just assumed it had a card. Also the "power" and "local network" lights are green but the "broadband link" is red. I have no idea what im doing and need some help.

Make sure your phone cord isnt forever long. Also you will need to verify there is an actual ethernet card in your pc. After this I would call and make sure they have your service provisioned etc.

What do you mean forever long? And do you know how to find out if there is a ethernet card?

Is the driver for the onboard network card installed?
Right-click on My Computer and choose properties.
Click on the Hardware tab and click the device manager button.
Do you see any yellow exclaimation marks?

You could try AT&T's tech support.

Make sure they have turned the DSL on your line on first. They usually ship the router and shit out 3 weeks before they turn it on.
