Question Question for Satellite Internet users

Do you have satellite internet service?

Have you ever used a VPN network with your satellite internet service to work from home?

Any information is greatly appreciated!

I would never trust a VPN to satellite service, ever. Most of the time the upload speed is the same speed or slower than dial-up. It has decent D/L speed, but I've very rarely seen the whole setup be reliable at all.

my father in law had this for a bit since he works from home. He had to upgrade to their business class (ie more expensive service) .

Their consumer service gave you a private NAT address and there is not much of a chance to get an IPSEC vpn to work with that.

If you are connecting to an SSL vpn that is supposed to work but I don't have any experience with SSL based VPN's.
