Need HELP! 1st Apple Comp.

Whoa this thing is all sorts of messed up. I haven't delt with an apple since i was in 4th grade. they've came along way, and this system i got (g4, OSX) is nice, but i'm just trying to learn it, for troubleshooting issues later. I've got some questions...

A. how the hell do you get the CD rom to open?! There is no button and theres no "my computer" to even see it.

B. Where do i go to add this PC to my other PC's and see my whole network!?

C. Why doesn't DFWStangs or alot of other websites work right on this thing!?

D. Who wants to buy it if i can't figure this shit out. Been working on it for 4 hours now and the CDrom won't even freakin open!

getting a little bit aggravated.

thanks.

there should be a button on the keyboard that has the little eject symbol on it... that will open the CD rom. To eject the disc you can also drag the CD icon on the desktop when there is CD in the drive to the trash.

A. Already Answered.

B. Click on 'apple' Go to System Preferences, go to Sharing, check windows sharing and then click the start button.

C. What browser are you useing? If you are using IE it sucks worse on a mac then on window.. try safari or get firefox.

D. Im guessing this is a rehash question of A.

Hey

You need to go thru the lessons on Mac's website...leaving the PC going to Mac....trust me, once you figure out the little things you will be amazed with your Mac...the thing is this, everything is easier on the Mac and engineered a hell of a lot better, if your having problems trying to do something, take a breathe think of what would be the easiest way to do it and that is more than likley how you will accomplish it.
