I need a computer

I need a computer and have 350.00 to spend, where and whats the best deal you think I could find for that money? thanks

Ay, fight and you may die, run and you'll live. At least a while. And dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives.... but they'll never take our FREEDOM!!

Fry's has a pretty good computer for the money, $179 + tax. everything but the monitor. Buy a 512 stick of ram for it and you'll be doing great.

I haven't used those but debated recommending them to family/friends. If its the one I'm thinking of comes with Linux preloaded.

The PC is about 4-5 years old. It belonged to my grandmother and she probably never turned it on my than 10 times, seriously. So this thing is in like new condition. $175 for everything, ready to go. Has windows 98 OS, not sure how much RAM, probably 128k.

dell has a desktop for $299. My sis-in-law got one and they were offering free 17" flat panel screens and free printers then too! The system works great for basic usage. I was VERY impressed for the money.

Yea your probably right. I was thinking it would be a great computer for a kid. Sad thing, is 5yrs years ago I paid more than 175 for the monitor alone.
