Can't get program to work after formatting hard drive

Gateway Computer, Windows XP Home, lost Microsoft Picture It! 7.0.

I formatted my hard drive last night and one of my programs didn't come back. It's a Gateway computer and it was on there when I got the computer. I've tried all the CDs I have that came with it, but none list this particular program. I backed up the entire C drive and drug the entire folder from 'Program Files'. It said it wouldn't work because it didn't have a certain DLL file. I found the three files it asked for on the back up and put them in the correct folder. Now it says "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc06d007e). Click on OK to terminate the application. And that pops up twice for some reason.

I can't run it off the external hard drive either.

Any help is much appreciated.

You can't just copy folders from program files over to another form of media and expect them to work on another machine or after you format the hard drive.

Most programs write to the registry as well as install certain .dll files "dynamic link library" in case you're curious.

If you don't have the cd, your best bet would be to try and obtain it through another medium (p2p, website).

What is the application called?
