XP going VERRRRRRRRRRRRRRY slow... anyone else?

So i dont know if i downloaded a virus of wtf happened, but it litterally take 10-15 minutes to load to windows. Then another 10 minutes after i've logged in to get any icons on the screen. I've tried "fixmbr" and i've done system restore and i've done chkdsk. I would defrag, but it freezes before its done analyzing. Anyone else had this problem lately?

run spyware programs...check to see what u have running in the back ground...also run a virus scan as well...

To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

Yea i've done all that, started with that infact. Even downloaded trail versions of different virus programs. Now, the only problem is the 10-15 part before the log in screen comes up... i'm thinking a clean system sweep will be in order.
