Win XP loading help??

got my HP PC,trying to load XP and get rid of existing win98,it loads XP but dont completely format Win 98,last time the XP disk formatted for me??(or gave me the option)

i got it formatted but i cant get it to switch the bios to read CD rom first with the XP disk in it..
anyone ???

Goto the bios set up
Choose the first boot device = cdrom

I had the same problem to get it to load do this restart the computer and hit delete to go to the BIOS screen then go over with the left arrow about two tabs to boot disable everything except the drive where your disk is in.

Are you saving the bios settings? I know that sounds simple, but I've messed that up before.

is your XP an upgrade or a fullversion?

2007 GMC Sierra RCSB - It breathes better now and looks better than stock.
2008 Honda 700XX - Doesn't need any mods.

I just spent a lil time with Michael on the phone... seems no matter what he does to get his system to boot from the CD, it won't boot from the CD, even from two different XP cd's (and they're full versions) Anyone have any other ideas? (It's hard to do it over the phone, it could just be something simple)
