Nero's now on Linux...

Not sure how long ago this happened, but makes me giddy none the less

http://www.nero.com/en/NeroLINUX.html

It's about damn time. k3b just didn't cut it, and GnomeBaker isn't any better... but until Nero, there wasn't much other choice unless you wanted to use the command line for all your burning/image making tasks.

[edit] Now, let's see some native Adobe/Macromedia (Macrodobe? Adomedia?) support.

I like k3b, it works as good as Nero fo me. What were your issues with it?

It's more that I'm set in my ways And k3b said cdrecord needed root access, which I gave, but still wouldn't burn anything. Said it couldn't open the drive for burning. GnomeBaker worked though, it's pretty much the same layout. But I've always prefered the Nero layout.

other then the gimp.. nope. I think cs1 works with crossover though. Also, there is speculation that photoshop will be ported to linux. Adobe was hiring linux software engineers early last year.

I'd heard that, actually. I got pretty excited, but so far I haven't heard anything of note since.

I'd imagine Linux has near, if not as much or more market share than OSX... if OSX has enough market share for the professional design apps, it seems only logical that Linux should get some love too.
