New Computer/Game help

I just bought a computer and it is on the way from Dell. I also purchased the game Fable. Do all computers come with a certain type video card? The game says it requires a 64 mb shader capable 3D card. How can I tell what I have? My invoice doesn't say anything about a video card. It also calls for 1.4 GHz processor - how do I know what I've got?

Well you got a 3 gig processor so you meet the 1.4 minimum requirement. As far as the 64meg card Im sure most integrated video cards these days meet that requirement so you should be good to go.

I just looked at my invoice that was e-mailed from Dell & I got the 256MB (the 2nd one you listed) - just didn't know it was a video card (they should put the word "video card" for us computer idiots that are learning. So I guess I did okay with what I ordered. I will have it today and am really excited. This is my first really good computer!!

Thanks everyone for all your help!

256 mb vid card is plenty. However, Fable sucks. Youll beat it in less than a week (if your any kind of gamer) then thats all.

Try some shooters... Counter Strike Source, Half Life 2, Battle field...

If you really need to play an RPG try World of War Craft or Everquest.

This is what I got:
Dimension E510 ,Intel Pentium 4 Processor 630 with HT Technology (3.0 GHz)
[311-5519]1GB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz
[310-5234]Dell USB Keyboard
[320-4436]19 in (19 in viewable) E196FP Flat Panel Display
[320-4382]256MB ATI Hyper Memory PCI-Express X16 (DVI/VGA/TV out) Radeon X600 SE
[341-0885]250GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM)

The computer was delivered yesterday and it is so great!! It has dolby surround sound which I think is really cool because all I've ever had is two little bitty speakers and now I have 5. I can't wait to play Fable and once I beat it I'm going to go get Everquest (looks really cool).
