32inch lcd tv??

Has anyone purchased a Samsung LN-R3228W recently?? I'm in the market for a flatscreen and am wanting one that has a good picture ~ good quality to go along w/ it.

Went to Best Buy this past w/e to make sure I liked what I saw.. And the TV looks great in person - just a whole lot of money to be spending! lol...

So.. Has anyone bought one? If so - what are your thoughts on it? It's got a better contrast ratio than other TV's of it's size (3000:1) ... and the same resolution as others... (1366x768) .

Lend me your thoughts . Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section. It's close enough to electronics though .

I'm not sure about the LCD TV's, but I have a Samsung DLP. It's the best TV I have ever seen. Samsung makes some nice products. I have had no trouble with mine.

I've got that TV, and it's great. Got my media pc hooked up through dvi, and all my consoles routed through switch boxes since it's only got one component input. I don't subscribe to any hd channels/services, as I don't really watch tv. But looks excellent for dvd's, and playing games. And with the media pc, I play some games on it as well. Kinda nice dicking around on WoW from the couch

Samsung is gonna be one of the better flat panels to buy. If I am guessing right then that tv costs around 3K Make sure you look at a Sharp or a Mitsubishi

Swing up to your local Fry's Electronics. they have a wider selection of Flat panels. I know cause I work there in that department.

Edit: ok I did a search price is around 1.6K Sharp makes a 37" for 1.8K that looks pretty darn good. It is Glossy black in color, just like that Samsung.

Yeah, mine was $1299 last year when I got it as well. Not a bad price for the quality of the tv. I almost went with a 42" plasma for $1699... but then I saw the resolution was only 800x600 (on a widescreen ) and figured the offbrand probably wasn't going to be worth it in the long run.

Though not a flat screen, I got a Samsung 30" Slim Fit for $850. It had a built in HD tuner (which will save you $200 on a tuner). Picture looks excellent and it is only 16" deep. Bang for the buck, it was the best thing going. After looking at the plasmas and LCD's, the only reason I could find to get one was for the "cool" factor. Other than that, tube TV's still give a better picture and are still cheaper. Just my $.02.
