BF2 Post

Is everyone playing is that why no one is posting about it? What is your first impression of the game?

I've been playing it on and off, desert combat mod for BF1942 meets a bad ass engine and graphics, online play extremely smooth, a little too picky on TK'ing, should auto forgive if the killed player doesn't make a selection. Load times can be annoying when first joining a server. Really like the commander features and the emphasis on team work.

BTW screen name ahshit and fav weapon choice is USMC Spec ops

It has it's little quirks here and there, but for the most part it's very fun!
I'm usually a medic or spec ops.

The medics I see playing don't usually do there damn job, and are usually out being a lonewolf. When i'm a spec ops, i'll create a squad of support and medic backing me up while we go take out their arty, commanders outpost, and radar. It's just too bad you don't get points for doing that stuff. I've been playing with the sniper class here and there, i'm not that bad with it, but I like to get into the action, and not just play the waiting game.

Flying planes is a blast, especially when your having a dogfight against a good pilot. Helicopters on the other hand are hard as hell to fly.

I have been focusing on choppers a good bit and the transport choppers are the most fun because you can load up six guys and go flag capturing.

I have been playing just about every night and love it. Still some bugs to be worked out with a patch but hopefully we won't have to wait as long as with BFV. The online mulitplayer menu sucks. Very slow, no way to highlight favorite servers, when you try to get on a server and it is full you loose that server and have to go back in and find it again. The next patch for the game is supposed to allow play through Gamespy so most of these issues will be resolved. Most of the good servers are always full and it takes forever to get in. Find a server that isn't full and most of the time it lags horrible. I am also curious about the ranking system. I noticed on the first day of "official" release by mid-day there were players with over 5000 points which is bullshit. The only thing I can figure out is they were beta testers and the scores were not reset on release day. Checked last night and there were 1.2 million ranked players listed. My profile name is [FDX]-Horner.

Im always USMC Spec Ops. I am hardly ever commander, I like playing actively too much.

Im never in a tank, APC, helicopter, or jet. Im either on foot, in a Buggy (DPV, FAV, etc) or in a RIB. Fun shit when tanks cant hit you. my only problems are mines and Su35s with good pilots

helicopters are easier to me than being really good and accurate in jets...but i got use to flying heli in the original desert combat mod where they were a pain in the ass to control

I'm trying to learn jets using the keyboard only. I have been playing with keyboard and mouse but the better pilots mop the floor with me.

It's because they can turn on a dime with a joystick.
If you don' have one, try to pick up a Saitek Cyborg Evo, it's freaking awesome, and will change flying forever!
