microsoft word

Ok I have a small problem I am on xp home and it has microsoft works.I have created a resume on Microsoft works.When I send it to any prospective employers they cant open it because I am told it is not in word format.

I have a ripped copy of microsoft office xp 2002 but dont have a key.Anyone know where i can get a key or a better way i can get my problem solved?

openoffice.org

should allow you to save in msword compatible format.
