windows me

Anyone know ho to turn system restore off? On windows Me and I need to turn system restore off to run a few programs but dont knopw where togo..thx..

yeah i know its actually my dads trying to get rid of virus hes got on there..and need to get a copy of xp but havent found one..Dont wanna go pay the price for a new copy of it..lol...

ok so does anyone know how to turn system restore off on windows me??? I have attempted to set the date and time back but have not succedded....

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

right click on My computer - select properties.
System Restore is one of the tabs. Put a check in the box to turn it off.
Reboot

ok so I dont want to sound dumb but I went to my computer and right clicked went to properties and I went thgough each tab.I didnt see anywhere that actually showed system restore or a place to turn it off...Anymore help would be greatly appreciated.........
