Well I spent a few over my $360 bucks...

but hey what can I say?

I ended up doing a new computer. 3.73ghz p4 HT, 1 gig of ram, 300 gig sata drive, dual layer 16X dvd burner, media center edition xp, ATI X600 Pro 256mb PCI-E X16 video card, TV tuner and PVR. This mofo is bad as hell. It absolutely flies. I wanted to see what it could do so I loaded up far cry and good god there is stuff in that game I had never seen before. Fish in the water and birds flying around.

It is definately bad as hell. I could care less about amd vs. pentium fight. I just wanted fast. I didn't care how I got it.

Everything you would need for a BADASS media center pc with a huge hd and the ability to tivo/record tv and burn to dvd, and plays all the latest games great. $1,069.96 shipped. Just needs a case that fits your style.

AMD 64 3200+ Abit Mobo, 1 gig corsair xms low latency memory, 480 watt psu, 320gb hd, dual format dvd burner, 256mb pci-e x600pro aiw with tv tuner.

could save quite a bit by going down 1 step on the proc, getting a msi mobo, kingmax memory, smaller hd, and cheaper psu, but i decided to put some of the best bang for the buck pieces togather

The guy is just posting what he bought, no one cares what you bench racers think he should've built. My machine is a fucking monster, are there are a lot of things I could've done different, but I built it the way I did for the way I use it, and seeing as I can afford to do it, I dont really give a shit what you guys think, and neither should this guy.

Congrats on the new pc!

I'm not raggin on him, i told him it wa sa sweet system and would benefit him more than what i suggested in the other thread b/c of the pci-e. my post in this thread was meant for george g. since he said he wanted a badass media center pc, and might not have the same hookups as thiscat. but congrats on that price thats freakin awesome! especially to be warranteed. what brand pc is it?
