What is it used for?

We also have a Mac, but Macs are for artists and drug addicts.

Its what people use when they need something more powerful than excel ( custom scripting, gui interfaces ), but dont want to shell out the cash or knowledge for using a SQL setup. Lots of small business use it. Its pretty simple to learn and implement global changes. Its a decently powerful tool for those in the small business and home business area.
