it look slegit, however.. I would not use the link in the email... check paypal.com and see if they have a phone number to check the validity of the message and go ahead and logon to paypal normally and do not follow the link provided.

Did they address you by NAME, in the heading of the e-mail? If not... it's certainly not PayPal... but if you check it out, don't use the link in the email.

and yes, they do email. I just got an email from them stating that the buyer of my most recent auction was a fraud and now I'm out $200 because of it.

Paypal Phishing Attempt

The only reason the URI looks legit is because it was cut-n-copied in the post. GTChick if you look at the original e-mail and right-click and choose properties, you will see it isn't going to paypal.

Sort of like this link:

I got a similar email a few months ago, and contacted PayPal. They wanted me to send the email to them and PayPal verified that it was someone trying to scam PayPal accounts.

That's some damn good english

PayPal provides a customer service phone number you can call. If this was a legit email, they'd provide the number for you to call instead of clicking the link. In any case, if the account gets suspended in 72 hours, I still wouldn't click the link, and I'd head to PayPal's website, click on the "Contact Us" link, then click on the customer service link under "Help By Phone"
