Was MCO a flop? I LOVED the idea of that game, but never had a chance to play beta or retail. I never really heard anything big about it, so I figured that it didn't do so well!
what did you think of MCO?
I loved it. It was around for maybe a year or so. They canned it to work on NFS Underground.
Was a war of people wanting imports vs old school etc.
Trying to keep the game balanced and having staying power was tough. This one is in the early stages and I've been chatting with the people making it and may get myself involved on the IT security side.
Its a tough balance of not making the game too easy so that people burn out quick or if its too tough they get frustrated.
I know the first weekend it went live I made it rough for some people. At first the biggest block you could get was a 327 and I had spent the last week of the beta building a solid drag setup I could build first thing.
At first they ran races in HP classes so I made a 57 Bel air with a 327 making 290 hp and 390 tq that was running 12.7 all motor. Most others were running 13.2-13.5 and I there were those that thought if they had 325hp they should beat 290hp.
I pink slipped quite a few cars the first days it was out and might have ran some people off cause you could delete a character but had to wait a week to recreate.
